Afraid to Look Down is a solo play written and performed by Cullen Douglas, an actor from movies and television. In this play, his story is told with unflinching honesty and humor; it is about the journey he took in becoming a first-time father to his oldest son Gabriel - born with Down syndrome.
The performance touches on the emotions, the humor and the
honesty of being a parent of a child with Down syndrome.
Immediately following the performance will be a reception with
Cullen Douglas to give everyone a chance to
meet, mingle and appreciate the gift of being with
and sharing the experience with others.
Invite your parents, siblings, close friends, teachers, obstetrician,
pediatricians, and therapists. The performance is NOT for children.
To minimize financial barriers to attendance, ticket price has
been underwritten and does not reflect actual cost of $28 per person.
We prefer that all orders be made online, but if that is not feasible for you, please mail payment ($6 each) and specify the number of tickets required.
